EDC is Thursday. If your belt is still in the box — or you just unboxed it tonight — don't panic. You have exactly enough time. Here's what actually matters.
Tonight: Charge It
Plug it in now while you're doing other things. Full charge takes about 2 hours. Don't save this for Wednesday night when you're already packing and texting your crew about meetup spots.
Charged tonight = one less thing to think about.
Tomorrow: Find Your 3 Presets
The belt has 50+ modes. You're not going to use all of them. Pick 3.
One for general wear — something that reads clearly and doesn't go dark between pulses. One for peak moments — the drop, the headliner set, the photo op. One for the after — when you're tired but still want something moving.
Run through the modes in a dim room. What looks cool at noon looks completely different at 2am in the basin. Go slower than you think you need to, because future-you is not going to be navigating menus between sets.
Lock in your 3. Take a 5-second phone video of each one so you can reference it later.
Wednesday: Do the Clip Test
Put on the actual outfit you're wearing Thursday. Put the belt on. Walk around. Sit down. Squat like you're picking something up off the ground.
The clasp holds, but your specific waistband or bodysuit might need a small adjustment in positioning. Wednesday is the day to figure that out — not Thursday at 4pm when you're already running late and your rideshare is outside.
Pack the Cable
You probably won't need it mid-festival. But if you're running all three days, day two energy shows. The cable is small. Pack it in your bag and forget about it. You'll be glad it's there if you need it.
That's the Whole List
Charge. Pick 3 presets. Test the clasp. Pack the cable.
The belt is designed to be simple on purpose. You don't need to do anything complicated — just a little prep tonight and tomorrow so Thursday is smooth.
EDC's 30th is going to be one for the record books. You're part of it. Your belt's ready when you are.
See you on the floor.
