EDC 2026 in 9 Days: Your Final Week Checklist

EDC 2026 in 9 Days: Your Final Week Checklist

Nine days. That's it. EDC Las Vegas runs May 15–17 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and if you haven't started prepping yet, this is your sign to start today — not the night before your flight.

The final week is where the people who have a great EDC separate from the people who spend night two half-miserable because their feet are destroyed and their phone died at midnight. Here's how to use the time you have left.

Days 9–7: The planning window (right now)

Lock your set schedule. If you don't already have the Insomniac App, download it and favorite your must-see artists. Set times usually drop in the final week — when they do, plan your nights but leave buffer time. The unplanned moments at EDC are often the best ones.

Finalize your outfits — all three nights. Don't wait until day-of to figure this out. Lay out everything for each night: outfit, shoes, accessories, glow gear. If anything needs to be ordered, this is your last real window before EDC Week shipping gets dicey.

Test your LED gear tonight. Seriously — plug it in, run it through its modes, make sure the controller works. A dead battery or a flaky connection discovered at home is a five-minute fix. The same discovery at kineticFIELD at 2am is a frustration you can't fix. The Nion Lights Animated LED Glow Belt takes about 2 hours to fully charge — do it now, not May 14.

Days 6–4: The pack-and-prep window

Build your packing list and cross it off. Don't rely on memory. The essentials:

  • Hydration pack (the festival requires it; Vegas heat at night is no joke)
  • Portable charger — high-capacity, 20,000mAh minimum
  • Earplugs (you'll thank yourself on Sunday morning)
  • Kandi to trade
  • Comfortable, broken-in shoes — three nights of dancing on concrete is brutal in anything new
  • Layers — Las Vegas swings 30+ degrees between sunset and 4am
  • Bandana or neck gaiter for dust near the stages
  • Backup payment method separate from your phone

Break in any new shoes this week. Wear them around the house, on errands, anywhere you can get time on your feet. This is not optional.

Charge and test your portable charger. Run a cycle on it this week. Nothing worse than discovering your power bank is half-dead when you need it most.

Days 3–1: The final push

Confirm your logistics. How are you getting to the Speedway? Insomniac's shuttle service is the move — it runs from the Strip and eliminates the parking nightmare. Book if you haven't. Confirm your hotel checkout times.

Do a gear run-through. Night three outfit laid out. Everything charged. Charger in the bag. That one thing you keep forgetting — is it packed?

Charge your Glow Belt the night before each night. Don't do all three charges on night one. Stay on top of it nightly. A full charge gives you the whole night without babysitting the brightness setting.

Set a squad plan for communication. Your phone will die. Or the signal will drop. Decide in advance: if separated, we meet at ___. Rainbow Road by the ferris wheel is a good landmark. Choose something and actually tell everyone in your group.

EDC Week heads-up

The festival runs May 15–17, but EDC Week starts May 13 with pool parties, club takeovers, and label showcases across the Strip. Above & Beyond is at Palm Tree Beach Club on the 14th; Fisher kicks off Omnia Day Club on the 15th. If you're arriving early, check the full EDC Week lineup in the Insomniac App.

The nightly fireworks show fires at 1:30–1:45am each night — find a good vantage point at cosmicMEADOW's grandstands or along Rainbow Road. It's worth planning around.

Nine days is enough time to get it right. Get your gear sorted, your schedule built, and your squad coordinated — then show up ready to disappear Under the Electric Sky.

If your glow belt order is still pending, grab it now while there's still time to get it before you leave.
