The Festival Isn't Over: Your Summer 2026 Glow Calendar

EDC is five days out. But if you're already thinking about what comes next — Lightning in a Bottle, Electric Forest, Burning Man — you're not alone. The summer festival run is long, and the right gear travels the whole way.

Here's the full calendar, what each event demands, and how your Nion Glow Belt fits every format from May through September.

EDC Las Vegas — May 15–17

Format: Nightly venue festival, Las Vegas Motor Speedway

No camping, no mud — just three nights of high production in the desert. You're walking from stage to stage, dancing for 8+ hours a night, and competing with 160,000 people's light rigs for visual real estate.

Glow Belt strategy: High brightness, high contrast. Solid or slow pulse presets get lost. Go for fast color cycles or reactive patterns — you want your belt visible from 30 feet in a crowd. The three-night format gives you a reason to run a different preset each night.

Lightning in a Bottle — May 20–24

Format: 5-day camping festival, Buena Vista Lake, CA

LIB is intimate by comparison — 17,000 people on a lakeside property with a focus on art, yoga, and electronic music. Days are slower and more sunlit; nights get deep and immersive. The vibe shifts dramatically between morning sets and midnight headliners.

Glow Belt strategy: This is the festival where the subtler presets earn their place. Slow color breathe or warm amber during sunset sets. Save the full strobe mode for the late-night stages. Camping nights are cold in May at elevation — pack layers, but the belt clips over anything.

Electric Forest — June 25–28

Format: 4-day camping festival, Double JJ Resort, Rothbury, MI

The Forest is its own category. The wooded art installations and LED-draped trees make it one of the most visually dense festivals on earth — which means your glow gear is in conversation with massive professional lighting rigs. It's a good problem to have.

Glow Belt strategy: Complement the environment, don't fight it. Forest glowers tend to coordinate with the installation colors — blue and purple in the forest paths, gold and orange near the bonfire camps. The Glow Belt's 50+ presets give you enough range to match whatever corner of the forest you're in.

Lollapalooza — July 30–August 2

Format: 4-day urban festival, Grant Park, Chicago

Lolla is a different animal — no camping, high fashion energy, a mix of genres. The crowd skews broader than pure EDM, and you're in a public park in the middle of Chicago. Daytime sets in 90° heat followed by headliners after dark.

Glow Belt strategy: Low-key by day (it's a park, not a rave), full send after dark when the Grant Park stage lights kick in. The belt doubles as a fashion piece here more than a survival tool — lean into clean single-color presets that read as intentional, not festival-kit default.

Burning Man — August 30–September 7

Format: 9-day desert city, Black Rock City, NV

This is the end boss. Burning Man operates on different rules — the desert at night is pitch black outside the art cars, dust storms roll through with no warning, and you'll be on a bike at 3am in total darkness more than once. LED gear here isn't aesthetic, it's functional.

Glow Belt strategy: Visibility is the job. High brightness, high contrast presets for biking — you need to be seen. The rechargeable battery setup matters here; you're on playa for 9 days with limited charging options, so run a full charge before each night. The belt handles the desert dust fine, but wipe the USB port before charging if you've been in a storm.

What Travels Well (And What Doesn't)

One thing makes or breaks the multi-festival season: durability. A belt that looks great at EDC but has a dead pixel by Electric Forest is a one-event accessory.

The Nion Glow Belt is built for the full run. Sealed construction handles sweat, misting fans, and desert dust. The 8-hour battery covers a full night at every event on this list. One USB-C charge, one size fits most, and the 50+ preset library means you're not stuck on the same look from May to September.
